| There are two newsworthy (good news too) items
for fans of the long running Buffy and the Vampire television series.
1) Although there are no new seasons of Buffy the Vampire
Slayer, all seven (7) seasons of the popular show are now available from
Amazon.com on DVD. Each video set contains the entire season's episodes
plus those extra "Easter Eggs" that we've come to expect on DVD
releases of television shows or movies. DVDs have revolutionized the home
entertainment industry. Back in the VHS days, one was quite pleased to
simply have an entire 2 hour show or movie on a tape they could permanently
cherish. DVDs have the super advantages of huge capacity to hold much,
much more content than even the longest VHS tape (remember how the VHS quality
suffered if you chose the highest recording density to fit more on a
tape?). Couple that with the concept of multiple 'tracks' on a DVD
allowing for producers to insert alternate endings, out-takes, bloopers,
interviews with the interesting people who were involved in the production,
backstage tours and views and... well you get the idea. The possiblities
of what you'll find on a modern DVD are limitless and are quickly fulfilling our
expectations of what the future of multimedia was expected to hold for
excited viewers. |
2) A new show has entered the winter
lineup with a supernatural theme a la Buffy. The show is called Point Pleasant and
we're going to tell you a little more about it:

thrilling and supernatural edge. Point Pleasant is about a girl (Christina)who
finds herself almost drowned near the town of Point Pleasant. Christina is
rescued by lifeguard and taken to the town doctor. She will be staying there for
a while it seems. Christina is on a search to find her mother, whom she does not
know much about. What Christina does not yet understand is that she is the
devil's daughter. Her father is not the person she calls Dad. |
